Introducing........ Aunty Vera's Creative Team 2018!

Hello Crafty Friends!!

Thank you for all your support and crafty love over the past year.
We've watched our Creative Team... opening boxes, creating awesomeness and inspiring all our Crafty Peeps. Now it's time to do it all over again... with our 2018 Team.

We'll be running things a little differently this year.... with 2 teams creating over alternate months. That's a little bit of a rest for our team... and heaps of projects for you, dear crafty reader!

Please say hi to our Team in the comments section below, and show your support by following their Social Media pages. Because without them - Aunty Vera Land would just be a shop.

Firstly a big hello to our returning Team Members......

"I am SO thrilled to be invited back to be on the creative team for 2018!
I had a BALL last year.
It is so hard to choose my favourite kit because they were all great but I will say that my most favourite project was made with the November Kit.
Do you remember my Secret Envelope Box ?
Closely followed by my 'Under the Sea' Aquarium from the September Kit.
I am also most impressed by the number of cards I made in my '10 cards | 1 Kit' series.
It has allowed me to have lots of cards on hand for occasions.
Can't wait to see what 2018 brings!"

" Hi all I loved this year’s selection of kits that Aunty Vera put together, but my favourite would have to be Easter. I had so much fun with this kit and I adored the cuteness and colours of it.  February's kit was also a favourite of mine, loved creating the little book with all the delicious quotes.. And January's kit,  oh I loved them all to be honest.... "

I would like to say what a fun time I have had since I joined the CT. At times it was a challenge, (when I saw that emoji paper I nearly fainted cause I had NO idea what to do with it), but mostly it has been an absolute delight and pleasure (both the May and September kits were so beautiful), but my absolute favourite was the My Crafty Friend November kit. 😍. Also thank you Vera for giving me the opportunity to share my craft with others and for being so awesome and sending me the best pizza boxes a crafter could order.

And our new team members.......

Hi! I’m Sarah. I’m in my 20s and love all kinds of craft. I particularly enjoy making my own mini albums and journals and practicing non-traditional forms of memory keeping - be it journaling, pocket-page scrapping or mixed media. I love colouring in stamps depicting girls to use in my crafts - who doesn’t love the Gorjuss girls or Prima Princesses?! I’ve been married for almost two years now, and my husband, Shannon, is pretty amazing - he even indulges me with my craft addiction! Recent creative outlets include bullet journaling and planning, as well as sewing simple clothing and home items. My beautiful mother has been teaching me how to sew and I can’t wait to combine my new skills with my love for paper craft. I look forward to what the year has in store and am so excited to create with Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft in 2018!

I currently reside in Sunbury Victoria which is a quiet area with a semi rural feel.
I live with my husband of 21 years and my 3 beautiful children, Ashley, Emma and Bella.
My passion for all things crafty goes back to when I was a child, I would sit with my Mum (who was a qualified dress maker, a skill she learnt in Italy before migrating to Australia) while she would sew. I found it fascinating how she could draft a pattern freehand and sew and this is where my passion grew, watching while she would bead a complete wedding dress for family members as well as mother of the bride and brides maids and then find the time to make her own. She made it look so easy, even to the point where she had callouses on her fingers and no needle could pierce, something that would take me many years to acquire 😊😊
Before marrying I too become a dressmaker, something I was very happy to do. Unfortunately life and all it entails put a stop on my dressmaking career so I could raise my  children.
Over the last few years the “bug” had bit and I found myself making cards and baubles and anything else that took my fancy with a lot of trial and error. Recently I've found that all this practice had paid off and my crafts were something I and my family were very proud of.

Although still learning i feel i am at a stage where my passion for all things crafts will take me on a wonderful journey, something I am keen to share with everyone 😊

Wow! What a fabulous creative group! I can't wait to get started!!

Tomorrow we'll release our first kit for 2018... and the fun begins!!
