Hello Crafty Friends!
It's another melting hot weekend down here in Oz, so time to close up the house, turn on the air con and craft, craft, craft!
Today we have a fun project that is just perfect to make as a gift for a special friend...... Jeanne's 'Explore with Friends' Loaded Envelope.........
Hi crafty friends!! I'm pretty excited that I'm able to use not only the adorable colorful paper collection from this months Kit but also the adorable Santoro Kori Kumi memory pockets and Santoro Gorjuss girl ribbon bows. I also used the colorful washi tape
There is still somewhat of a craze for these "Loaded Envelopes", I had previously made a variety of themed loaded envelopes. I hadn't actually made one recently so thought I would use some paper & embellishments from this kit for this.
I had previously made my other Loaded envelopes using this same tutorial from YouTube that was done by Michelle Randolph.
- 3 sheets of 8.5 X 11 paper
- Paper Trimmer
- Score Tape
- 8.5 X 9.5- Front piece
- 7 X 9 - Back piece
- 7 X 6.5 - Front pocket
- (2) 7 X 4.5 - Smaller pocket
Then you will start scoring your cut papers to the following:
(A) right1.5 in. , 1in. (B) 1.5 in (C) 1.5 on (D) 1.5 in.
left- 7, 7.5, 8in ea. side each side horizontally
(A) (B) (C) (D)
(trim off squares (trim off corners w/out
both ends) cutting over lines)
Add design paper:
Add pockets with score tape:
Make a slit down the center with scissors and add design paper on back:
I then added small round velcro pieces to the Envelopes & made stickers out of some of the images from the cut out sheet with my Xyron machine (I then added these inside one of the envelopes as a gift along with other embellishments.)
I made a paper rosette using some of the left over scrap from my previous project. I added one of the bows from the kit and a prima paper flower in the center.
Finally, I added one of the Santoro Ribbon Large Bows in the middle of my envelope, I added another on my finished rosette and I also altered a small notepad with some of the scrap paper from my previous project and I added one of the images from the cut outs 'Find Joy' paper & some of the Washi Tape and added another of the bows and white cotton lace on the spine of the notepad. I also made a medium tag for my back pocket. I used scrap paper, an image from the cut out sheet and adhered it with the adorable washi tape. I also added one of the scrap border paper for the bottom and lastly added a piece of seam binding. As well as added variety of laces on the loaded envelope.
