Goodbye February with Lolly's Happy Mail Hearts

Hello again Crafty Friends!

As promised.... our second project post for the day! Say goodbye to February with Lolly's gorgeous Happy Mail Hearts........

It's time for some ribbon and happy mail therapy!  :)   I hope you can come play along.
I wanted to play some more with the sweet Love Letters stamps by Lawn Fawn and the Waffle Flower envelope stamp.

I cut apart four 5" strips of the ribbon in the kit and glued them pattern side down on a foam piece with a hot glue gun.  Here's what they look like when glued.

And here is the back side.

Then I flipped it back over again to the front and glued the end of each ribbon to the base of the neighboring ribbon, like this.

I repeated the process until all the ribbon ends were glued in place.  Then I glued the ribbon embellishment on the heart doily from the kit, and I used Worn Lipstick distress ink on the edges of the doily.  It really makes it pop!  I made a second one, and I used Seedless Preserves distress ink on the edges for that one, and it's a perfect match to the ribbon I used.

Now for stamping!  YAY!  I stamped out the little envelope from Waffle Flower and attached that to the center with a pop dot, and I stamped and die cut the thought bubbles, fountain pens, and ink bottles.  They are soooo cute!

After the die cutting was done, I glued them onto the doilies.   They are ready to go!    These are great pre-made embellishments to have on hand for projects.  They can be quickly glued onto a card base or journal cover when needed.

If you want to see more detail and ideas on making the ribbon flower, watch the video HERE.

Thank you for playing along.  Have a crafty day!

Hello, I Love You: Three Cards - Donna's February Project #3

Hello Crafty Readers

Our February Kit is so full of yumminess that our Creative Team just can't help themselves and are creating all sorts of LOVEly things. Today Donna shares some of the gorgeous cards that she made with the kit.
Enjoy! .......

Hello Lovely People
Wow, I love the February Kit, so much that I couldn't
help myself, I had to make three cards
I combined elements in the kit with Project Life - Becky Higgins - Maggie Holmes Edition
and Pebbles Washi Tape to give you three wonderful cards...
Card1... There is something about Red and Brown that just 'goes' together...
And the Heart of Hearts die brings it altogether...
Card2... I made a shaker heart to match in with all the lushness
from the February Kit and have to be honest
was so excited to use the stamp set 'Love Letters' by Lawn Fawn
"Instead of Texting I made this card", I mean how wonderful is this stamp...

And can you see I used the Shaker Embellishment Hearts from Cherry Lynn Designs from the January Kit inside of my heart..

Card 3... A Clean and Simple design but one I think is wonderful..
I love the piece of Ribbon on the bottom of the Project Life Cards
and the 'I love you' sentiment sets it off perfectly..

Did you notice all the flowers I used on the cards?
Yes I made them out of (wait for it ), Washi Tape. I had little pieces
left over and stuck them on a scrap piece of cardstock.
I then used the Retro Punch from EK Success to punch the flowers out...

Using the Darling Daisies from Cherry Lynn Designs and the
Floral Punch just made this flower..

Washi Tape is a brilliant product I think as it
has so much potential.. And these flowers look awesome..

Three Cards together...

Hello, I Love You - Donna's February Project #2

Hello Crafty Friends!

Donna left us on a bit of a cliffhanger when she showed us her first February project..... promising us something super cute to add to her Love Booklet.
If you've been sitting on the edge of your seat waiting - like me! - then grab a cup of tea, sit down and .... enjoy!.....

Hello lovely people,
'Love Clip Art'
I thought I would combine project 2 with my little book I created
with the February Kit...
I love Clip Art, the things you can do with these are amazing and
what better way to show off these gorgeous stamps from Lawn Fawn
than to make paper clip art..

This little Octipi from Lawn Fawn is soooo cute..
I thought I would give him some bubble to let you know
he is saying Happy Valentines day..

How cute is this little chicken and she
is holding a heart for you..

I totally love this stamp, for some reason it speaks to me
and isn't the 'I Love You' gorgeous in pink ink..

Here is the Paper Art Clips on the front page of my little book..
Don't you just love the washi tape from Pebbles..

These little cuties adorn the back of the little book,
and what a fantastic background these Happy Mail stamps make...

Doesn't this look so cute together!!!

I love this combination as well..

Book finished with the Paper Clip Art now fixed inside...

Hello, I Love You: Candy Tin - Lolly's February Project #2

Hello Crafty Friends!

Our February Kit is all about Love and Happy Mail, and Lolly has brought the 2 together very nicely with her gorgeous Candy Tin. It's SO sweet!
Enjoy!.....

A friend recently gave me some plain silver tin boxes to decorate.  Me? Oh, yes, I'd love to!
I am loving the stamp and die sets from Lawn Fawn that are in the February Kit, and they are the perfect size for this tin.

I knew right away that I wanted a belly band across the lid of the tin, and I wanted it to be made of a row of envelopes.  I stamped the envelopes onto watercolor paper and used a blue paper mask to mask off some of the envelopes when I stamped, to create a layered effect.  I used a very pale blue watercolor to shade the envelopes.

I love the way it turned out!  I glued the belly band on the right and left sides with Scotch Tacky Glue and let it dry about an hour (I wanted to take extra care that I could slip a card under the band without pulling it up!

(The card and papers used on the tin are from the paper collection is Valentine's Day by Recollections.)

Oh!  The inside of the card! Let's not forget THAT!

Those chickies are TOO CUTE -- and what a great reminder to focus on being a blessing to someone we love, instead of just texting.  :) Technology and instant communication have taken some of the joy and wonder out of relationships.  How often do we receive cards in the mail any more?

Next, I used watercolor paper and the Lawn Fawn ink pad again and stamped out these cuties.  I love that little ink bottle and fountain pen!  Be still, my heart!   And the tiny dies are perfect -- no more fussy cutting.

I also wanted to add chocolates as a gift inside the tin, but I wanted pretty tissue paper, so I stamped on tissue paper.  The Lawn Fawn ink pad dries quickly, so it's great on tissue paper.  I used distress ink for the hearts, and you can see they are more fuzzy (let's call them "dreamy" instead!) because they had time to bleed into the paper due to slower drying times.

So that's my decorated tin project!   I think it turned out so adorable.  If you want to see the video, you will find it HERE.
Thank you for taking a look --

Lolly
