Songs About Rainbows - Gina's Fox and Owl Lolly Bags

Hey everyone hope this post finds you warm and snuggly, safe at home enjoying the extra crafting time. This week I am using the lovely Sizzix thinlits owl and fox box dies to make some lolly bags for my daughter's birthday.

I die cut the box for the fox onto the Crate Paper Magical Forest Childhood paper and stuck it together.

Next I die cut the face for the fox onto the Crate Paper Magical Forest Sunlight paper. I inked the edges with my Kaisercraft saffron ink pad and stuck them on.

Then I die cut the eyes onto some white cardstock. It is in three layers. I inked the bottom layer with my Kaiserfcraft saffron ink pad and coloured the top layer with a black sharpie.

I then added the tail and a little border at the bottom punched onto the Crate Paper Magical Forest Wishes paper with the We R Memory Keepers Scallop Lace edge punch. I added a little heart sticker from the Crate Paper Magical Forest 6x12 stickers on it.

I made the owl the same way using the Crate Paper Magical Forest Sunlight and the Crate Paper Magical Forest Discover papers.

Here they are together :)

I love how they turned out and looks like all my 3 kids will be having the same lolly bags for their birthdays for years to come.

Thank you for following along with me and see you again soon.

All The Leaves Are Brown Too - Tina's Autumn Lantern

Hello Crafty Friends!
It's here at last! Autumn! Officially!! The weather has cooled down and last night every house in my street with a fireplace (there are a lot of them) had fires burning. I'm picturing all the inhabitants cuddled up inside.... maybe even crafting by the fire!
I'm not lucky enough to have a fireplace so maybe I need to make Tina's lantern to keep the place cosy. Isn't it just adorable? And so SO Autumn!!

Hello Crafty Friends.
I just love Autumn. I love all the colours and the cooler weather, with the wood fire burning and lots of baking that leads to Winter (a season that I also love.).
The April kit from AVSC is just perfect for Autumn projects, which I used to make a little Autumn Lantern.

To made the Lantern I used this Sizzix Alterations, Luminary 3D Die.

Firstly I cut out the four panels in a copper metallic cardstock from my stash. I cut out four small panels of Tim Holtz idea-ology Frosted Sheets, and adhered them to the inside of the cut out panels.
I used the fox rub-on from the kit on the front panel and one of the rub-on leaves on another.

The base and top of the Lantern I cut in a darker metallic cardstock.

Next I assembled the Lantern

Decorating this little Lantern was so much fun. I adore the Lawn Fawn, Stitched Leaves Die from the kit. I will be using this die so much. I cut out the leaves using Little Birdie handmade papers in Autumn colours. The flowers used are from the kit. I also added some of the raffia that also came in the kit, added a little moss and some contrasting leaves I cut out from the Sizzix Thinlits, Garden Greens Die. The sentiment is from the ephemera pack in the kit.

Cute little Owl I fussy cut from the papers in the kit.

How adorable is the little owl button from the kit? I also fussy cut a squirrel from the papers.

Here is the finished Lantern I placed on a colour changing light base.

I hope you enjoyed this project.
The beautiful April kit can be purchased HERE along with many more wonderful products.
Thank you and Happy Crafting

All the Leaves Are Brown Too - Tina's Autumn Tag Collection

Hello Crafty Friends!
So the weather forecast tells me to expect tomorrow and Friday to reach 36 degrees. CELCIUS!!
Seriously??!! It's almost the middle of April!! Luckily I can drool over our designers' projects and dream of Autumn!
Tina's tags are just perfect for that Autumn dreaming.......

Hello Crafty Friends.
I just love Autumn, and this kit has been wonderful to work with.
Today I have a collection of tags. I really enjoy making tags and I use them very often for gifts and in place of cards  at times. I have six tags in different sizes.

The largest tag measures 6 1/2 '' x 3 1/'', I cut one in natural craft card and two in cardstock from my collection.

I inked the edges with Distress Ink, Vintage Photo, then glued the cardstock onto the craft card, front and back. I snipped the corners and punched a hole for my eyelet..

I used a Kaisercraft die to cut a frame using the paper from the kit.

The fox is from the ephemera pack which I placed on foam tape on to a decorative circle that I die cut using paper from the kit and mounted on cream textured paper from my collection.
The flowers I made with a small flower punch and with flowers I fussy cut from the papers in the kit. To finish the tag I used two stickers from my collection and some shaker mix and ribbon.

The two medium tags I made in the same way, first cutting in craft card and in papers from the kit. I inked them in the Vintage Photo and glued them together.  I used one of the cut-aparts from the kit and mounted this on foam tape, The flower is from the kit and the leaves I cut with the dies that are also from the kit. These dies are so wonderful and really detailed. The fox I fussy cut out of the paper from the kit and finished it of with one of the rub-ons.

This cute squirrel came in the ephemera pack, along with the rub-on, die cut leaves and a button, all from the kit, finishing the tag off with ribbon from my collection.

The three little tags are made with papers and ephemera pieces from the kit and finished off with natural twine.

Here are all the finished tags.

This beautiful Autumn themed kit can be purchased HERE, along with many other products.
Thank you and Happy Crafting.
