Words on Wednesday - Goodbye 2014

Hello Scrappy friends....from the remaining hours of 2014.

We haven't had a Words on Wednesday in a while, so what a great place in time to pick it up again.....

It's the end of an old year...and a new one about to start. So whether you're a big New Year's Eve Partier, a Great Resolution Maker, or you just carry through not paying much attention to the fact that our planet has made it all the way around the sun one more time (yes, there's a subtle House paraphrase in that), here are some quotes for your end of year / New Year pages and projects........

“For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning."

- T.S.Eliot

“Tomorrow, is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”
- Brad Paisley

"Youth is when you are allowed to stay up late on New Years Eve. Middle age is when you are forced to."
- Bill Vaughan

“Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering 'it will be happier'...”

- Alfred Tennyson

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow."
- Albert Einstein

"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Be always at War with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each New Year find you, a better person."
- Benjamin Franklin

"New Year's Day.. Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual."
- Mark Twain

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."
- Mother Teresa

From all of us here in Aunty Vera Land, we wish you and your family a happy, safe and prosperous year ahead. Happy New Year!

Words on Wednesday - Counting

Hi Scrappy Bloggers

Well, it seems like I've been awol on the blog front lately. Isn't it funny how life can just get so busy with nothing in particular and before you know it...it's May. Yes...MAY!!

It was back to school last week which usually means less hours in a day....wearing my Aunty Vera hat I've been cleaning and re-arranging the...dare I call it...warehouse space..? All in anticipation of some great new products both arriving and on their way. Wearing my Mother Hat...well, all things school as well as teaching my son to drive and not thinking to grab the camera when son #2 smashes his nose on son #1's skull and drips blood all over the bathroom. Seriously, the next morning looked like a badly cleaned up murder scene!!

But excuses aside, maybe I've been away from the blog for a week because I just lost the days. So....today's Words on Wednesday come from the infinite source of Words of Wisdom that is my son Master D...

There are three types of people in the world...
Those who can count..
And those who can't.

Boom boom.
Hope you're having a lovely mid-week day!

Happy Scrapping
Aunty Vera :)
