A Month of Christmas Craft - Road Test Friday - Shaker fun with Rianna

Hello Crafty Friends!
Welcome to another Road Test Friday.
Today Ri joins us with some Christmas shaker fun, testing Clear Scraps shaker shapes and the fun 28 Lilac Lane 'Deck the Halls' shaker mix.....

Hi everyone, My name is Rianna and this is my first time posting on the blog for Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft, I am so honoured to have been asked to be a Road Tester. If you would like to know more about me, feel free to CLICK HERE. When I received these products in the mail from Aunty Vera I was very excited to create with them as I had never heard of these brands before or even heard of such a thing to create awesome shakers with the already cut out shapes! As soon as I saw the shaker mix and the star I was like, "YES! I can create something awesome for Christmas!"

I have a video process of how I constructed the cute star shaker, which you can watch HERE

Now lets get to the "nitty gritty"... Overall I was super happy with both products but each had their own pros and cons, so let's start with the star shall we?

Clear Scraps Star Pros:  • Good quality • Comes with everything pre-cut, even the acetate sheet so you're ready to decorate and create it however you'd like!
Clear Scraps Star Cons:  • A bit too thick and bulky to put onto a card, you could maybe make it work onto a card using 2 layers instead of the 3, but it might be too heavy for the card and the card may not be able to hold it upright
28 Lilac Lane Shaker Mix Pros:  • Great colour mix! • Cute transparent storage container
28 Lilac Lane Shaker Mix Cons:  • The larger buttons are way too thick to put into a regular shaker, they might work well with a thicker foam tape or a double foam tape thickness though I decided to make the shaker an ornament for the Christmas tree! You could definitely make some for friends and family and even pop a photo inside the star or whichever shape you prefer!
