All the Leaves Are Brown Too (2018) - Suzanne's 4 Cards and a Card Holder

Hello Crafty Friends!
Wow I can't believe we're into a new month! But I must say I am relieved and so SO happy to be into a new season. I love Autumn!!
Join Suzanne today as she celebrates the start of Autumn (or Fall for our USA friends) with a set of cards that have cooler weather all over them!!

Hello everyone.  I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful cooler weather.  I certainly am here in Queensland after such a long hot summer.  Autumn is a beautiful time of year, and once again Aunty Vera has put together a wonderful Autumn kit.

For this project, I have made 4 cards and envelopes and a holder for them.  I used the beautiful papers and ephemera pack from the kit, the amazing lawn fawn leaves die and prima flowers, the raffia and Lindy spray and the cute little buttons.

The first thing I did when I saw the gorgeous autumn leaves die was prepare some gel print papers.  You can see a video of how I did that HERE.

For the first card, I used the die to cut out different gel papers

I used the "Hello Fall" piece from the Ephemera pack and used one of the smaller leaves to mimic the Autumn branch which is on the ephemera piece.  I also used some of the paper from the "Spots and Stripes" paper pack and the "A perfect Autumn" paper pack

I made a raffia bow and used a flower that I had made with some water colour paper and added it to the front.

This is the first finished card

Here you can see a close up of the autumn leaves  that I cut from gel print papers and added them to the bottom of the card

The second card was lots of fun to make.  I used one of the 3 x 4 cut-a-parts from the paper pack and also a stamp from my stash.  The girl I used has a hoodie, blue jeans and boots on so I thought she fit this sentiment perfectly.  I coloured her with watercolour pencils

I used the girl and the kite and also she small leaf on the left hand above the dragonfly to stamp all over a white card front with versamark ink. I then used clean embossing powder and heat set it before colouring the paper with the Lindy's spray.

Here you can see the stamp and VersaMark ink and the embossed image on the white cardstock

The Lindy's spray I used to colour the card front.  I did add a bit of brown to the colour because it was a bit too pink for this card.

I used some brown cardstock to back the card front

The third card was quick and easy also.  I used some of the gorgeous rub-ons from the kit and a sentiment from the ephemera pack.  I die cut some very small leaves and some trees using dies from my stash.

I used a piece of white cardstock and my distress oxide inks (Autumn colours) to create a unique background for the rub-ons.  I started with the lightest colour first putting some down on a non-stick craft mat and adding a spritz of water before dipping the cardstock into it.  I dried between each layer of colour to achieve this background.

Here is the third finished card.  I have added another of the leaf die cuts and a small raffia bow and three small buttons from my stash to finish it off

For the last card I used the cute little buttons from the kit.  I used a squirrel and some leaves which I cut the shank off of so that they could be glued down to the card front.  I also die cut some branches with some dies from my stash.

I used the beautiful spotted paper  and the orange paper from the kit for the background and the frame.

I  used a sentiment which I cut from one of the 3 x 4 cut-a-parts.  I glued an acorn onto the squirrel before adding him to the page.

I also made a holder for the cards and envelopes using some cardstock that I used to be able to get from Daiso.  Unfortunately, I have not been able to get it lately, which is a shame as it is incredible strong and very thin.
I have put the measurements on the paper if you wanted to try it for yourself.  You need two pieces to make the box but the other piece needs to be a reverse of the first one

 The reverse view

I then scored the box on the 2 inch lines.

I cut some small tabs as shown on the plan photographs at the beginning

I then slid them together

I then decorated the box with a flower from the Prima flowers from the kit and some of my own.  I used some more of the die-cut leaves using the lawn fawn die and gel papers.  Lastly I added a sentiment from the 3 x 4 cut-a-parts

I really hope that you have enjoyed having a look at my project.  There is still a bit of room in the box so stay tuned as I will be adding some more bits and pieces to this box before I give it away to someone who has commented on all of my blog posts this month.

Bye for now
XOXO
