Explore 2018! - Donna's Scrapbook Page

Hello Crafty Friends!
Are you ready for our first project of 2018?
I'm especially excited about this one as I have vowed to get a whole lot of scrapping done this year. So how perfect that Donna should start the year off for us with a Scrapbook Page from her exciting travels around Australia. I just love it!!

Hi all, A HUGE welcome to 2018.

As you can see I am still on the Creative Team and I would like to
thank Aunty Vera for allowing me to be so..

I am looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations and I hope
the Creative Team inspires you..

For my January projects I thought I would use mostly the
items that came with the kit; not all of us have the dies, stamps, inks or the embellishments that a Creative Team member uses.
And don't forget you can change the colour scheme to suit yourself. An
example of this is you might not have the Post Box Red as I have used, but you might have a Green or Blue that you prefer, use what you have.
I would recommend you buy Gesso though as it has so many uses and you will
find you will use it a lot!!

Exploring 2018 Scrap Page

I just love this piece of paper and knew straight away I was going to do a scrap page..
Firstly I wanted some colour so I used Dylusions Ink Spray Post Box Red to do a light spray with a few splotches..

I mixed some Gesso with the gorgeous paint that came in the kit to 'tone' it down and stencilled over the page.

You can see here how it looks. ( I so loved the 365 in the corner).

Using the stamps from the kit. I randomly stamped these with the Clearly Kelly Coffee & Donuts Inks ( these came in a former kit from Aunty Vera and are gorgeous to use).

I die cut a corner and a flourish from the paper in the kit. I then fussy cut 'Find Your Wild' and using 3D foam tape placed it over the flourish. I totally LOVE this quote!!

I fussy cut Todays Adventures and simply placed a bling next to the words.

I found this wooden Rainbow in my stash and lightly inked it. I then glittered it, love to glitter lol..

I fussy cut a border to frame my photo, I had a die but it was too small so I simply drew around it on the outside and the inside and fussy cut it.. Simple....

I also fussy cut the camera and three banners and placed a charm from the kit and a heart shape bling from my stash.. You might not see it here but I have covered the camera and the windows in the caravan with shimmer.

I added a border on the bottom and cut some grass..

I wrote my story around the picture and drew a border around the two pieces of paper behind the photo.

The finished Project..
My photo is down too far (see we all make mistakes) but I had my little darling granddaughters in the room with me while adhering the first piece of paper down and at that moment my littlest darling fell, so of course nanny rushed over and yep this is where the paper landed a little crooked and too far down but who cares right!! lol
