Making Memories with Mum - Leanne's Mother's Day Cards 2018

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you are all having fun crafting for our NSD Challenges.
Today we take a little break from the May Kit and our month long NSD... because Mother's Day is coming up! Yes Crafty Peeps.... Sunday 13th May is Mother's Day. So if you haven't got your Mother's Day cards made yet, here's some inspiration from our good friend Leanne.....

Hello everyone!
I have been busy making Mother's Day cards using some fun products that Aunty Vera sent me in my special Mother's Day Cards pizza box :)

These cards feature Stamperia rice paper....

I used mod podge to glue down the torn pieces of rice paper, some gesso over the edges, then a few different colours of Kaisercraft acrylic paint to give a blotchy effect (to hide the edges of the rice paper).

I then used a few stamps, used texture paste in a Kaisercraft stencil, Perfect Pearls - perfect gold (powder) to give the whole card a shimmer and then used a wet brush and the Perfect Pearls on the highest points of the stencil and finished with some Prima flowers.

My next cards feature Kaisercraft's 'Miss Betty'.

I inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks - Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo and used Echo Park's Fashionista black and Dark Pink paper for the 'Mother'.

These cards were such fun to make, using the Dylusions Spring Bloom stencil.....

For this card I used the stencil with texture paste and then coloured with Ken Oliver Color Burst - Cerulean Blue.  The flowers are cut from Kaisercraft's Flower Stem die.

For the next two cards I used the stencil and texture paste again and this time coloured with Lindy Stamp Gang 'Magicals'.  I used the black Echo Park Fashionista paper as a frame and for the sentiment on one.

I LOVE this card.  I used 3 different colours of Tim Holtz distress ink on daubers through the stencil, the Black Echo Park was used in the frame and another matching cardstock.  The stamp is from a Prima (mini doll) set.  I did a couple of flowers on an extra sheet and cut them out and attached them with some mounting tape for a bit of extra dimension.

I hope I have inspired you to create some lovely Mother's Day cards!
xx Leanne xx
