Hello everyone. I hope you are all enjoying this month of fun and crafting here at Aunty Vera Land.
The whole Team have been busy with wonderful projects, all of which I intend to make.
Today I have for you the first of my small project ideas on filling the stationery box, I have made File Folders using the We R Memory keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board, to store photos, notes or anything else.
I started with three sheets of black cardstock that measured 5 4/8" x 8 4/8", and scored down the middle at 4 2/8". Fold along score line.
On one of the 5 4/8" edges cut off 3/8", (do this to all three folders, you don't have to cut the back off if you want it to sit higher than the front). Place the other 5 4/8" side (left outer edge) on to the centre of the punch board and punch. Slide the punched edge along to the 3" mark on the punch board and punch. It should look like the 3rd image below.
Cut off the excess piece and round the corners.
The patterned cardstock is cut 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" for the front and the tab is punched from the left side at 3" and 2 7/8" the back piece is cut at 5 3/8" x 3 6/8". Ink the edges and attach to the black file folder.
The second file has the tab in the middle and is placed in the Punch Board left side on the front piece at 1 4/8" punch. Then slide over to 4 1/8" and punch. Cut off the excess paper from either side and round the edges. Cut the patterned cardstock 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", place from the left side at 1 5/8" punch, slide over to 4 2/8", and punch. I inked with vintage photo and attached to the black file folder and also added a pocket on the front.
The third File Folder has the tab on the right side. I did everything the same way as the first File Folder, but instead of working on the outside front of the File, I worked on the inside front of the File, when finished it is all in reverse. The patterned cardstock is done again in the same way, only instead of working pattern face up I turned it over and worked pattern face down, and when that is turned over it will give you the tab on the right side.
The three little File Folders are ready for storing photos and fit nicely in to the large pocket of the Stationary Box.
