Your Cloud's In My Sky - Donna's ATCs

Hello Crafty Friends!
Well, today si the last day of March and it looks like Autumn has finally arrived..... to my corner of the world at least!
The evenings are brisky cool...... perfect for cuddling up with a warm drink and your computer or device to go all heart eyed over Donna's ATCs......

Hi all,
I am adoring these papers from the March theme 'Your Cloud's in My Sky'.

I thought I would create eight ATC's to go into the ATC box I created in my last project for March with Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft.  (I do hope you liked it).

ATC stands for Artist Trading Card and they measure at 2 1/2 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches long.
I love creating these and am in assorted swap groups.

The ATC's are cut from brown cardstock and I have cut mats that measure 2 3/8 inch x 3 3/8 inch as I like a thin border.. If you like your border wider, then cut the mats
at 2 1/4 inch x 3 1/4 inch..

Mats adhered to the base of the ATC.

I won't go through on how I created these ATC's as they all follow the same idea.. On each of the ATC's I have placed a strip of the Trees on the Avenue washi tape on each front..

Using the scraps of the papers I created for background interest..

I fussy cut images from the papers and using 3D foam tape placed them on the mats..

On each image I rubbed Glossy Accents over it to give them a lovely shine and some
Kindy Glitz to give a little sparkle, after all what is Autumn without sparkle ..

The Carta Bella 'Fall Break' sticker sheet is such a gorgeous one, that for this project I used quite a few.. I did ink around the edges first as it was too white otherwise..

I punched a flower from the paper and a smaller one to place on top of it with 3D foam tape..

I just love how the bias binding turned out with the Autumn colours.. And them gorgeous Autumn leaves from that paper I created just made this ATC perfect..

We call Fall, Autumn in Australia but in all honesty it means the same - lushiness colours..

The ATC's together with the ATC box I created..

The box opened with the ATC's inside..

The box shut with all the goodies inside ready to gift them..

All the projects together:
The Shaker Card
The Tag
The Calico background
The ATC Box
and all the ATC's to fit in the box..

Your Cloud's In My Sky - Gina's pocket letter

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's a while since we featured a pocket letter on this blog so I was so excited to see that Gina was heading in that direction. And doesn't Autumn make a perfect theme for those little pockets of crafty goodness?

Wow this month has flown by so fast and I think so far we've had one day that felt like Autumn lol, but that's okay I got to enjoy the thought of Autumn all month in Aunty Vera Land :)

For my final project this month I decided to make a pocket letter. I started with the Bo Bunny "Chocolate Vintage" cardstock and cut 9 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" pieces.

I then cut 4 3.3" x 2.3" cards from the Echo Park "Colored Leaves" paper for the corners, 1 3.3" x 2.3" card from the Echo Park "Falling Leaves" paper to go in the middle and 4 3.3" x 2.3" cards from the Echo Park "Fall Owls" paper to go on the sides and placed them over the Bo Bunny cardstock.

Before sticking them on, I inked the edges of all the Echo Park cards with my Kaisercraft bark inkpad. Any dark brown colour would be good.

Now I will show you each card starting from the top right. Using one of my Martha Stewart edge punches, I made a pattern on a small strip of the back of the 4x4 cards Echo Park paper and stuck that to the left of the card. I then made a signpost with a cut out from the "Fall is Fun" Echo Park paper that said welcome fall and the back of the same paper to make the pole. I inked the edges with my Kaisercraft bark inkpad and stuck it towards the top of the card. I then stuck the owl from the Echo Park "Celebrate Autumn" stciker sheet on the bottom right corner.

For the next card I chose the "Give thanks with a grateful" heart from the sticker sheet and stuck it in the centre. At the top right and bottom left, I made 2 little banners with the back of the Autumn Floral and the 3x4 jounaling cards sheet and stuck them on.

I die cut a doily shape with my Kaisercraft die onto the "Falling Leaves" paper and stuck a little less than a quarter of it to the top right corner of the third card. I cut a small strip from the back of the "Autumn Floral" paper and stuck it towards the bottom after inking the edges with my bark inkpad. I then stuck the bird sticker to look like it was standing on the strip and some of the leave stickers above the bird. I cut out the word "Gratitude" from one of the quotes in the "Fall is Fun" paper and inked the edges in red and stuck it over the strip on the right. I also put a green rhinestone on the top right corner.

Now onto the middle pockets. The fourth and sixth pocket are done in a similar way to create a sort of mirror look. I cut out some tabs with my Kaisercraft "Large tabs" die on brown cardstock and stuck about a third of it in the lower left corner of the 4th card and the upper right corner of the 6th card. I then cut out the words "hello" and "pumpkin patch" from the "Fall is Fun" paper using my 1 inch circle punch and stuck them over the tabs. I stuck plants from the sticker sheet on the upper right corner of the 4th card and the lower left corner of the 6th card. I then added some bling on the left of card 4 and the right of card 6.

Onto the 5th or the middle pocket. I cut another strip from the 3x4 journaling card sheet and stuck it towards the top of the card after inking the edges with my red Creativ inkpad. I then cut out the word "Celebrate Autumn" which is on the bottom strip of all the Echo Park papers and inked the edges in red as well. I stuck that overlapping my red strip on the right bottom corner and put three gold rhinestones in the middle of the rest of the red strip. I cut out the squirrel from one of the 3x4 journaling cards, raised it using chipboard and stuck it below the strip.

For the 7th card I used another piece of the die cut doily and stuck it on the bottom left corner. I stuck a strip of paper from the back of the 4x4 cards towards the top right of the doily and stuck the little hedgehog sticker to stand on it and because I love bling I added a little green rhinestone sticker next to his feet.

I cut out 2 owls from the "Autumn Friends" sheet and stuck them on the bottom left corner of the 8th card. I used my "thankful and blessed" cutout from the "Fall is Fun" paper and inked the edges using my red inkpad. I then stuck this onto the red background of the 3x4 journaling cards paper and stuck that on the top right corner of the card.

Onthe right side of card 9, I stuck another strip of the 4x4 card paper which I edge punched with the Marths Stewart punch. I stuck the raccoon sticker at the bottom of the card and a flower which I had fussy cut from the "Autumn Floral" paper on the top left corner.

On the left of the pocket letter, I stuck the light green Santoro leaf ribbon and then I thought that was too light so I layered the dark green Santoro leaf ribbon over it and I love how that looked. Here's the complete pocket letter :)

I also have a process video up if you want to see anything in detail.

Thank you for following along with me this month and I will see you again in May.

Stay awesome
Gina x

Your Cloud's In My Sky - Tina's Autumn Cards

Hello Crafty Friends!
You never really need a reason to send a card to a special someone, but celebrating Autumn seems a pretty good excuse to me! And Tina's cards are just perfect for sending a little hello.
Enjoy!

Hello everyone. Yes, Autumn has finally arrived and it was well worth the wait. I live very close to Mount Macedon (near Hanging Rock) and it is spectacular here in Autumn.
I started making cards with all the remaining products from this month's theme and have chosen three of them to show here.

The cards are really simple and I wanted to make them that way because sometimes simple is perfect.
The card base for all three of these measure at 4 1/2'' x 6 3/4'' when folded.
For the first card I used a green cardstock base and cut all my mat pieces slightly smaller at each layer. I rubbed embossing ink around the edges of the top layer and sprinkled some of the Ranger - Copper Tinsel - Embossing Powder. I added one of the cut-a-parts from the paper collection and some of the leaves I stamped and fussy cut from the Tim Holtz - Mini Blueprints Stamp Set - Autumn, and finally added one of the flowers again from this months theme products of my choice Prima Marketing - Amber Moon Paper Flowers - Willow. I removed the center of the flower and replaced it with one of the Carta Bella - Fall Break - Decorative Brads.

The next card I used a white base and again layered this with papers from this months paper collection. I used the word Autumn, which I glued onto leftover chipboard from my birdhouse project to pop it up on the card, along with the fox, both from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet. The acorn chipboard piece was from my stash.

The third card I wanted to have a masculine feel and I think it worked out that way.
Again I used a white base and added the layers. I  used Echo Park - Embossing Folder - A perfect Autumn on the top layer of brown cardstock to give the card texture. The pick up truck ( Ute) is from the Carta Bella - Fall Break - Sticker Sheet from this month's products and the sentiment is from my stash.

These cards were super simple and quick to make.
I hope you enjoyed them.
Thank You and Happy crafting
Tina xxx

Your Cloud's In My Sky - Donna's ATC Box

Hello Crafty Friends!
Wow! I totally adore Donna's ATC Box....... I need this in my life!

Hi all,
I have another project for you using this gorgeous collection of papers from the Autumn March Theme which I love to bits.. For this project I made a ATC Box which holds 8 ATC's.. And yep that is another project entirely, coming soon..

To make this box I used the papers from the collection kit and brown cardstock in my stash.. Inking around the edges of all the pieces in brown ink from Clearly Kelly

Cut brown cardstock at 3 inches x 11 inches and score @ 2 1/2 inch, 3 1/4 inch, 7 inch, 7 3/4 inch.

Cut three strips of patterned paper @ 2 7/8 inch x 12 inches. These will be enough to decorate the base with leftovers for the ATC 's..

Mats are as follows:
Mats 1. Cut two - 2 7/8 inch x 2 3/8 inch
Mat 2. Cut four - 2 7/8 inch x 5/8 inch
Mat 3. Cut Two - 2 7/8 inch x 3 5/8 inch
Mat 4. Cut Two - 2 7/8 inch x 3 1/8 inch

I do cover the front and back of the base as it does look good when finished..
Using the green strip brings the book together with the papers..

The book folds as shown..

Cut Eight pieces of brown cardstock @ 4 inches x 6 inches and score @ 2 3/4 inches, 5 1/2 inches, turn once and score @ 1/2 inch. Trim as shown..

Place strong tape on the flaps and fold as shown..

Fold over the side and voila, a pocket..

Using a one inch punch cut a half circle from the pocket at the top..
Note: To get all circles even, I trace around the first pocket with a pencil mark as shown on all the pockets.. (I have moved the first pocket down on this photo so you can see what I mean)..

Then using the one inch punch cut just above the drawn half circle as shown, they will all be straight that way and match..

I simply drew an F on my pockets for the front..

Cut eight belly bands @ 2 5/8 inch x 5 1/2 inch and score 1 3/8 inch, 4 1/8 inch.

An easier way to do this scoring is move the belly band 1/8 inch as shown below and score @
 1 1/2 inch x 4 1/4 inch..

Wrap the belly bands around the pocket meeting up at the back. There will be a small gap so don't panic you didn't cut it wrong.. This saves bulk when adhering together..
Add one piece of strong tape in the middle as shown.. (you do need strong tape)

Adhere the pockets together back to front of another pocket; on the last pocket add more sticky tape so it adheres to the back of the box as shown..

The book opened fully.. I used the leaves I made from the start of the month. The stickers from the sticker sheet included with the March paper collection kit are popped up with 3D foam tape to give a little dimension..

I used a small magnet for the closure of the book..

How gorgeous are these flowers that I chose to go with my kit and of course some more leaves I created with assorted papers and inks....
