Spotlight on Graphic 45 - Fiona's Nature Sketchbook Creations

Hello Crafty Friends

We all love Graphic 45, but I think our Guest Designer Fiona loves it the mostest. yes - the MOSTEST! lol.

Today Fiona shares some gorgeous projects that she has been working on using the Graphic 45 Nature Sketchbook collection. You'll need the smelling salts for these!
Enjoy!.........

Hello Crafters!

I love Graphic 45.... I almost love it so much that I can be scared of using it! So I like to spend a few days 'ímmersing' myself in it, getting used to it, handling it and inspiring ideas.

The quality of G45 products is very high with the paper being heavy weight and colour-rich. The designs are so striking, unique and colourful, they always draw the eye of the observer. It's so inspiring.... after getting over the initial reluctance to cut up such a beautiful product!!

A good idea is to start with something simple - a card say... pick an image and design around it with colour schemes, themes or words.......

With G45 designs, additional embellishments can be kept to a minimum if you wish. Because of the excellent quality of this paper, designs can be fussy cut and used as embellishments.....

After attempting some cards, you may want to take it a step further..... like this Post It note holder.......

The more you work with the collection, the braver you become, and your imagination can really kick in!

Here are my cards and trinket boxes all together.....

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you had as much fun as I did

We Bling You This Important Update . . .

Hello Crafty Friends....... as promised we have one more project featuring our January Kit.
Today Lolly shows us how you can take just one element from the kit and add it to other projects for that extra bit of sparkle.

Ok Lolly...... Bling it on!!.......

Hello, lovelies!

I had a blast at a creative reuse center last night.  A creative reuse center only sells donated goods which can be made into arts and crafts projects.   How cool is that??    When I have unwanted craft supplies, I bling them to that store, too.  Our creative reuse center also offers classes in which we use goods that have been donated there.

So I went to a class about decorating a framed image; the frame, the mat, the papers, etc., were all donated to the store.   So THAT was a challenge!    I think I did a decent job with it, and it reminds me of many of our crafting goals for 2017:  use what you have on hand!

I did cheat, however, when I got home. . .  I wanted to bling something extra to the project and use some trim that came in our January Creative Team kit from Aunty Vera!

That top edge seemed to need me to bling something special to the project, so I did.  This trim is amazing, and I wish you could see it in person.   It's available in Aunty Vera's shop HERE.

The package contains a generous yard of trim, which is good because this is already a favorite.

Here's a closeup of the top edge.  I adhered it with E6000 glue, but hot glue would also work well with this trim.

I also tucked one piece of the trim into the bottom to bling some happiness down there, too.

Is that gorgeous, or what?   Reminds me of "something old, something new."    Combining the "what we have on hand" with something new to bling the two together in harmony.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out our creative projects for Aunty Vera.  You truly bling happiness to all our activities!

Blessings,
Lolly

Sarah's Project Life #2 - Waterfall Folio

Hello Crafty Friends

Wasn't Sarah's Project Life layout yesterday just so inspiring? I really need to get my scrapping skates on and Project Life is such a great way to get organised and get your pages done!
But pocket pages cards are not limited to scrapbooks. Today Sarah shows us how to make a lovely waterfall folio..... make sure you click through to her tutorial video... it's brilliant!!

For this project I decided to do something a little bit different with Project Life cards and used the Project 52 - Fresh collection to create a waterfall folio.

I had so much fun creating this partly because it’s a gorgeous collection and partly because I like coming up with new ways to use pocket-page cards. There’s so much room for journaling, photos and you could even tuck some tickets or a brochure into the pockets!

I think this is a lovely, easy way to use up some supplies and do something a little bit different than usual.

You can find the tutorial video to make this folio HERE.

Thank you for joining me today.
Sarah xx
