Wendy's Inspirational Christmas Projects

Christmas Projects

Well, what a year it has been for everyone...a topsy-turvy 2020 that we all somehow survived, whether it was from lacking toilet paper or to keeping ourselves safe from catching the virus. We did it!

I am so looking forward to the fun and games that are going to be held in our Crafty Vera and Friends facebook group for the month of December... #JesusVersusSanta.

Aunty Vera told us that we were under no obligation  to make any projects but, hey, this is me and I just can't help myself...lol...

For this month, instead of doing different blog posts for each project I made, I have decided to do one blog post to share all my projects. My projects have been made to inspire you to either make the same as me or to use my projects as an inspirational base and create your own projects from it. That's my challenge to you and hopefully, somewhere along the line we can get a point for the Jesus Team.

Challenge 1 project, being the first of December, and if you haven't already, is to make a Christmas Card. This card can be something very simple to something more elaborate. We seem to have lost our ways when it come to pen and paper, in our technological lifestyle nowadays. I have made a selection of Christmas Cards using the Silent Night Echo Park papers, the Tim Holtz Three Wise Men Die Set as well as adding touches of ranger Silver embossing powder and the silver -------. The smaller size cards I am placing on Christmas presents this year.

The video below shows the cards I have made

using the Silent Night Echo Park paper collection.

Challenge 2 from me is to make yourself a Christmas Tree Ornament. This year I have decided to go for more of a homely country style themed Christmas and I love how my tree decorations have turned out, even if some are from recycled cardboard. The crosses are from the Kaisercraft Cross Die Set.

The video below shows you how easy it is to
make these wonderful Christmas Tree decorations

Challenge 3 from me is for you to make a small handmade gift for someone. This could take in a variety of projects from the accordion style gift pocket pouch I have made or an altered notebook, a small journal...just something small that will be greatly appreciated or loved by the recipient.

I chose to make my husband a 12 Days of Christmas accordion pocket pouch where in each pocket I have placed one of our scratchie cards. So for each day starting on the 13th December, he will have a scratchie card to scratch up until the 24th December. He is going to love it.

The video below shows a flip through
and an expanation of how I made it.

Challenge 4 and my last challenge for the month is for you to make a Christmas Wall Plaque. I love the simplicity of my wall decorations in a country theme.

The video below shows my process using the Silent Night Echo Park papers and the four by four cut outs as well as some recycled cardboard...these are going to look wonderful around my Christmas Tree. So take a look and make one for yourself or use my for inspiration to create something similar.

I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas
and a safe and Happy New Year and I would also
like to thank you all for your much appreciated support during 2020.
Have a great day!
