Love & Art - Rianna's Guest Designer Project Share - Shaker Pear

Hello Crafty Friends!
We're still squeezing in projects for you because or month of Love & Art has been such fun.... and because YOU dear Crafty Friends are our Main Squeeze!! (lol)
Today Rianna joins us with a fun shaker card featuring one of those hilarious and cute die-cuts from the Main Squeeze ephemera pack.........

Hi everyone,

Rianna here on the blog today! I am so excited to show you another project that I made for this month of "Love and Art" for Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft! 😊

I apologise for the terrible photo quality. 😞 No video today, but I have a lot of photos to show you all.

First I cut my card base at 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inch and scored and folded at 4 1/4 inch.

I then cut out the background at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch and I used 2 rectangle dies to cut out the frame ( 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" and 3 1/2 x 4 3/4" ) which is a die set called A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 made by My Favorite Things. I used Crate Paper's Heart Day Dreamy patterned paper for the background and frame.

I cut out some acetate for the shaker window at 4 by 5 1/2 inch.

I used some 1/4 inch Scor Tape to adhere the background onto the card base and the acetate window behind the frame.

I added some 3D Foam Strips to the back of the frame and went around the inside edges with my EK Success powder tool to remove the stickiness so my sequins won't get stuck to the sides.

I added some pretty iridescent sequins in pink and green and then adhered the frame onto the card base.

I used Scor Tape to adhere the cute pair of pears which is from Crate Paper's Main Squeeze ephemera pack.

I decided to add some shimmer to the tiny love hearts, pears cheeks and leaves with my Wink of Stella clear brush pen.

And here is the finished card! 😄

Love & Art - Suzanne's Valentines Pocket Letter

Hello Crafty Friends!
What a fun month of Love & Art we've had! It's almost time to wrap it up, but I hope you have all been inspired to create LOVEly things throughout the year!
Today Suzanne shows us her Valentine's Pocket Letter... with so much to see, and so many lovely treats in the pockets. Be sure to watch Suzanne's video to see what's in all those little mini envelopes!

Well, the month of Love (and Art) is almost over.  What an amazing display of awesome valentines goodies have been presented this month.  I'm in awe of the talented people that I get to create and share with here in Aunty Vera Land.  I really hope that you have enjoyed it.

My Pocket Letter was super quick and easy because of the gorgeous papers and sticker and ephemera pack that are in the February kit.  I have used the gorgeous papers from Carta Bella called Hello Sweetheart  to create one side of the pocket letter and on the other I have used the sticker and ephemera pack from Crate paper called Main squeeze.

Here are some pictures of the front of the Pocket Letter.  Here I used the Crate Paper stickers and Ephemera. I have used foam tape to give some dimension to the project

Here is the back of the Pocket letter.  I have used the beautiful Carta Bella papers. I used most of the 3 x 4 cut apart page.

I have also added some goodies into the back of the Pocket Letter

Thank you for having a look at my Pocket Letter.

Suzanne xoxo

Love and Art - Suzanne's Mixed Media Canvas

Hello Crafty Friends
Haven't our Team projects been so LOVEly this month?!
Get ready to fall in love once again with Suzanne's Mixed Media Canvas.... oh my! Pass the smelling salts!!!

Hello ladies.  I hope everyone is enjoying all the wonderful crafty delights that the team have been coming up with already this year.  February is the month of  Love (and Art) in Aunty Vera land and my latest project is very much in this vain.

My project is a Mixed Media Canvas featuring the Donna Downey stencil that is in the February kit.  The quote on the stencil is from Vincent Van Gogh.  I hope you enjoy my canvas.  I had a blast making it.  So much Fun.

I covered a 9 1/2 x 13 inch canvas from Daiso with Tissue paper that I also got from Daiso.
The Tissue paper was adhered with Matte Gel Medium and the paintbrush covered with a couple of coats of Gesso

I then used some sticky stencil from my stash and laid them on the paintbrush and used the texture paste to add texture to the brush

This is the texture on the paintbrush

I used some Lindy's Magicals to add colour.

This is how the paintbrush turned out

I used my stamps and dies to make some flowers

I used the Nuvo drops from the kit in the centre of the flowers

I used a mixture of acrylic paints to cover the canvas using the pouncers.  I watered down the paint first.

The painted canvas

I used this stencil from the kit to add the text to the canvas

I used Magicals to colour the texture paste before using it on the stencil

A close up of the stencilled quote

I added a stem to the paintbrush and then glued down to the canvas using both E6000 and hot glue

Adding the flowers to the paintbrush

Before I added the small paint palette I made a wedge of hot glue behind the top tubs so that it had a tilt downwards and adhered it to the canvas with E6000 and hot glue.

The crayons I'm going to use on the canvas

I held the crayons above the palette and used my heat gun to melt the crayons into each small tub.

I let the crayons run down my canvas

The melted crayons added a lovely texture to the canvas

Here is the finished project

This mixed media project was so much fun to make.  I hope I have inspired you to have a go at it.

Thanks for having a look at my canvas.

Suzanne xx
