The Man Who Won - Wendy's 'No Snag' Altered Paperclips

 'No Snag'

Altered Paperclips

Paper clips that can be easily put on and pulled off your journal pages without being 'snagged'.

These altered paperclips were so much fun to make. I found the inspiration from doing a search on youtube for them and came across a few ladies with varying styles of how to put them together.  After watching the process of the last video I clicked; this was when I was finally got hooked on the idea.
NB: (*credit given in my process video*)

I gathered some of my offcut pieces of cardboard and some of my white mixed media paper. The cardboard for the outside sleeve and the white paper for the inside sleeve. I measured the size I needed to use by the size of the Tim Holtz Layered and Travel stencils. I stenciled on my folded cardboard with some Dina Wakley Black acrylic paint. I placed a large paperclip over the white folded in half paper, used a wet glue and put that on both sides and then placed this inside my cardboard that had already been stenciled on. I finished each piece of ephemera with a scribble line as a border.

Then, with one set of the 'no snag' altered paperclips, I cut along two squares of the 3x3 decorative paper from Tim Holtz Dapper. Folded one square over the other. Place the white folded paper with paperclip attached and already glued, inside the 3x3 folded squares. These turned out so cool. I used some of my vintage labels as decoration.

I have a showing of each piece of ephemera and then the process at the end of the following pictures. Enjoy!

Hoping you enjoyed this process of making 'no snag' altered paperclips.
These make awesome extras to add to your journals whether for decorating or holding tags with.

You all have a great day!
