Cut a banner template (using the measurements on the diagram below) from the white A5 piece of paper.
Using the template cut 11 banner pieces from the Authentique Masquerade Papers (excluding the cut a part sheet – Eight).
There should be 11 pieces in total.
Next cut apart the cut a part pieces, leaving a black border on each (approx. 3 mm).
Distress the edges of each card and banner piece using Tim Holtz Black soot distress ink.
Score each banner piece at the 1.5 cm point from the top of the banner.
Fold each top to the back and distress along the fold.
Using some Inka gold rub along the edges of each cut a part and each banner piece.
Sort the banner pieces into the order you wish and glue the cut a parts onto the banner.
Next step is to decide on how to do the letters of the word Halloween. I used some letter dies from my stash to cut out the word Halloween.
I decided to emboss alternate letters in gold and black. Then I backed each letter onto the alternative cardstock. So a gold letter went on a black 1 inch circle punched from cardstock. A black letter went on a gold 1 inch circle cut from gold cardstock. Then glue each circle to the banner.
Finally glue a string or thread under each top flap to join the banner pieces toget her.
Here are some pictures of the finished pieces and the final banner hung up.
