Sorry it's been a bit quiet on the blog-front this last week. I've been on holidays.....chilling out in a place that looks like this....

But it's almost back to reality time so let's get the sneak peeking back on track.

From Simple Stories is the 'Dad' Simple Set.

Simple Sets are mini themed collections consisting of 6 12x12" d/sided papers, 2 sticker sheets, and a collection pack. Here's the Dad set....

CHA 2014 Winter Sneak Peeks - Echo Park Mini Themes

Hi friends

Firstly - an apology........our 25 Days of Christmas kind of fizzled out. We had some technical difficulties here in Aunty Vera Land and being at the worst possible time of the year for this to happen, unfortunately it was the blog that missed out on the last rowboat and was left aboard the sinking ship! We'll have another go at it next year.

Onto CHA! Yep, it's January already and CHA is less than 2 weeks away so let's begin the peeking. Today - a couple of great Mini Themes collections from Echo Park.......

In time for Easter.....Hippity Hoppity...

And for St Patrick's Day.......St Patrick's Day!

We expect to see both these mini collections in February.

25 Days of Christmas 2013 - Day 22...Snickerdoodles!

Hi friends

I love Christmas baking and this year I've discovered a favourite USA Christmas cookie - the Snickerdoodle!!

These are a yummy sugar cookie that are rolled in cinnamon sugar before baking - they're kind of like the cinnamon donut of the cookie world :)

Now I won't even pretend to be the Snickerdoodle expert, so HERE is the recipe that I used. It's from Betty Crocker so it was bound to be yummy! And for my Australian friends...I know we don't have the same shortening products here than they have in the States - just use more butter instead of shortening.

This recipe makes a delicious biscuit......

Perfect with a cup of tea.....

And the recipe makes a PILE of cookies!!!
