Easter Egg Brownies!

The Kitchen Fairies have been hard at work...raiding the chocolate cupboard!

I make these Easter Egg Brownies every year and they are always a big hit. And really easy to make too!
Simply whip up a batch of your favourite brownie recipe...

Here's mine:
Melt 125g butter and 200g dark chocolate in a large saucepan. When melted and smooth beat in 3/4 cup caster sugar. Then leave for a couple of minutes to cool down a bit.
Add 3 beaten eggs, 1 cup plain (all purpose) flour and 1 tspn vanilla. Stir until smooth.
Bake in a 180degree oven for about 20 to 25 minutes.

Before popping into the oven, dot some little filled Easter Eggs over the top of your mixture, pushing them down so they are about half submerged. I like to use Mars Bar Eggs but anything with some sort of filling will work just as well...

Cut them up once they have cooled and you have some yummy brownies with a lovely little filling in the centre.

So.....

...shall  I put the kettle on..?

Happy baking!
Aunty Vera :)
