Hi and welcome back to the Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft Blog.
For my final project for this month I decided to do some
scrapbooking. I was inspired to try
using a scrapbook layout sketch, thanks to Amira for reminding me of them. I have never used one before, normally I just
go with what I think looks good.
The materials I used were;
Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Paper – 3x4 Journaling cards
Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Paper – Vintage Floral
Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Paper – 4x6 Journaling cards
Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Paper – Timeless Floral
Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Paper – Barn Floral
Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Chip Board Phrases
Carta Bella Farmhouse Market Frames & Tags
Finnabair Art Basics Alterable Flowers
Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Walnut Stain
Paper Flowers of various sizes from my own supplies.
I searched the internet for a suitable sketch and came up
with one I thought fitted the pictures I had.
The first step for me was to cut my papers down to A4 size,
as my album is A4. After much debate I chose the Vintage Floral and the back
of the 4x6 Journaling cards.
I then cut 2 pieces for my middle strip as per the sketch.
The strips were 7cm wide and the length of the A4 paper.
My next step was to sort through the ephemera pack and the
chipboard phrases and decide on which elements I wanted to use. I decided I needed to add the remaining two
alterable flowers.
I glued down the middle strip and put a mat behind each of
the photographs. I used the pink side of the 4x6 Journaling cards.
The next stage was to embellish the page with the Finnabair
Art Basics Alterable Flowers, the
ephemera from the Farmhouse Market Chip Board Phrases and
the Farmhouse Market Frames & Tags.
I also added some smaller paper flowers from my own supplies.
The finished page.
The second page was done in the same manner.
I hope my scrapbook pages have inspired you to use one of
the many set layout sketches that can
be found on the internet.
Happy Crafting.
Sue.
Lovely, Sue 💖
