The Weekend Catch Up - Crafting on the Road with Donna

Hello Crafty Friends!
Are you missing Donna and her crafting? She's having so much fun in her travels across Australia but she hasn't forgotten us. Don't you love the internet?! Here's Donna to share her latest crafting adventures with us......

Hi Everyone, just checking in to say HI, and to let you know what I have been doing
away from Aunty Vera land..

We have arrived in Queensland and are having a wonderful time visiting with our son Saul and grandsons Blake and Harley. They have grown so much that before we will know it they will be young adults and wont want to hang out with the oldies lol..

I have to be honest, there is so much to see and do that I have created very little goodies to show you.. I did manage to create some masculine card toppers with lots of fussy cutting and the Kaisercraft Story Book paper..

And I just happened to make these 'GORJUSS' Paper Clip art with the 6 x 6 Simply Gorjuss Paper Pack.. Its a good thing I packed lots of little goodies to go with them, and if you look closely you will see some pink feathers from Aunty Vera..

Fussy cutting was wonderful to do with these Gorjuss images..

Take care everyone and I will pop back in a while to show you the cards I will create using the card toppers..

Hugs
Donna xx

Weekend Catch-Up. Suzanne's Big Craft Haul!

 Hello Crafty Friends!
It's the Weekend Catch-Up and today we find out about Craft De-stashes.... and see what Suzanne rescued from her local destash event. Oh My Glitter! I can't get over that 7Gypsies bargain. WOWEE!!!!

Hi everyone.  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Last Sunday I was lucky enough to go to a craft destash at a small scrapbooking store about an hour away from my home.  Wowsers is all I have to say.  I had a blast and found so many wonderful bargains.  So for those of you who haven't heard of a destash, what it really amounts to is this - people selling the craft items they no longer want or need.  But worry not, they are not unloved for very long, because I am there to buy them and take them home and love them.  Yes indeed, I did the craft world a huge favour on Sunday and saved many, many craft goodies.

Here are some pictures of the craft items I saved.  Hope you like them.

Here are the paper packs I got.  Only two of them have been used very sparingly.  The rest are untouched.
All these stamps are awesome.  Those Christmas ones are super awesome

A few dies.  Those clock ones are fabulous and match one of the paper packs I was able to pick up and so cheap
This ATC holder had never been opened.
Bags of lace, punches, prim, distress paint, distress blending tool
Yummies

Altogether I spent less than $130 which I think is a massive bargain and had a great time with one of my crafty friends.
Toodles

Weekend Catch Up - Meet Guest Designer Deb Speijers

Hello Crafty Friends!

Our fun weekend catching up with some of our lovely CT ladies continues.
Today I would like to introduce you to Deb who will be sitting in (crafting in? lol) for Amira during the month of June.
Please make her feel welcome.......

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have been invited as a Guest Designer to create some projects for the June Kit which I have to say is quite an honour! But firstly I am going to tell you how my journey of stamping began.

One day 8  years ago a friend of mine invited me to a Stampin’ Up! Workshop, I had never heard of them and didn’t really want to go , but I did to support my friend. Well I was gobsmacked! Not so much by the card we made that day but by the catalogue! I had never seen so many beautiful stamps and products, I became a Demonstrator and have loved stamping ever since. I mainly make cards and 3D projects.  I get so much enjoyment out of making a beautiful card or gift box for someone special in my life. I have also come to love Tim Holtz, Darkroom Door, Graphic 45 to name a few! So my stash over the past 8 years has grown quite considerable and will probably take me the rest of my lifetime to use!

Another part of this amazing journey is the wonderful and talented crafters’ I have come to know. I now have so many friends that love what I love, people from all walks of life that I would never have gotten to know if it wasn’t for online media and stores such as Aunty Vera Scrap &Craft.

Here are few projects I have made recently,  enjoy!

First one is a 'card in a box'

Secondly a fun birthday card to suit the men in our lives!

Next one up is a shaker card!

This next one is a lovely pretty one using a punch for the flowers and leaves, and a die for the lovely intricate lacey part.

This next one is a really fun card to make, it is called a Twist Pop up Panel card, you can find tutorials on You Tube on how to make one.

Hope you enjoyed my projects,  and that it has got you into the crafting mood to make some of your own.

Happy Crafting!
Deb xx
