Have you cleared up your crafting space in anticipation of our NSD Challenges?
Today - Tina shares a special memory keeping story and gives us a peak at her finished project. Go Team Tina!
Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather.
I love this time of the year because as the weather gets colder I spend less time outdoors and more time crafting.
What an exciting month Vera and the whole Creative Team have in store for you.
I want to talk about the challenge I have for this National Scrapbooking Month.
My husband and I have been together nearly 27 years and he still has the very first Valentines card and handmade envelope in a box that I gave him. The chocolates that he also kept unfortunately were thrown away a few years ago. I still have poems, letters, cards for Birthdays and Anniversaries and sweet notes he would leave on the kitchen bench for me to find in the morning when he would leave for work trips at 5am.
Then there are the little notes and letters that the kids would hide in his suitcase when he would travel for a week or two for work. Finding these photos and drawings would make his time away a little better. As the kids got older the notes were replaced by text messages! When I bring out my box of these beautiful memories I feel really emotional and I am so grateful to have them.
My Challenge for the Month will be a stationery gift box, to store your own memories, a place to write them even when you are out and about, and to encourage more handwritten memories that won't be lost when your phone crashes, is upgraded or when you're clearing out the old messages and emails because the storage is almost full.
I want to encourage those who choose my challenge to make my project as a gift for someone or even for themselves which I hope will bring back more of these beautiful memories that would be otherwise lost.
I intend to make them for my two girls because I know they would love to look back the way I do and cherish these beautiful memories for many years to come.
Here is a sneak peek of my Challenge project.
Keep an eye out for my next post which will be a tutorial for my May NSD Challenge.
Thank You and Happy Crafting
