Hello crafty friends. I hope you are enjoying all the beautiful projects that the team have been coming up with so far this month.
My next project for February is an altered embroidery hoop that I picked up at the Salvos. It is a 9 inch hoop and was a bit beat up and grubby but cleaned up quite well. I used some very sheer material backed with some interfacing that I use when I finish a cross stitch to give the material some strength before adding it to the base of the hoop. I put some glue around the outside of the inside hoop and stretched the material over the hoop before adding the outer hoop and tightening it until it was dry. When it was dried I took off the outer hoop before adding the lace and trim pockets.
The 9 inch hoop and material backed with interfacing
The lovely trim from Prima is in the February kit
I used some of the gold trim and some lace for the top pocket
The second pocket has two rows of the trim over the white lace

I then made an assortment of goodies to fill the altered hoop
TAG IN A POCKET
I used a 3 x 4 cut-a-part to make this tag as well as a piece of lace.
I scraplifted this little pocket from Sandy who is Septeria18 on YouTube. I will put a link below to her channel.
BOOKMARK
I used my beautiful spellbinder die to make a bookmark using the Carta Bella papers
DRESSFORM WITH LACE
I cut multiple dress forms to make it thick enough to wrap some laces around
CARD NO. 1
For this card I used a 3 x 4 cut-a-part and a card die that I have then added a layered flower and a stitched heart
PAPERCLIP MATCHBOOK
I made up my own matchbook measurements to fit one of the 4 x 6 cut-a-parts that I wanted to add to the front
If you would like a tutorial on how I made this matchbook, please feel free to ask and I will do a video tutorial for you.
I made a small shaker, a layered flower and a heart paper clip
ROSETTE WAND
Here are the different layers I used to layer up the rosette wand.

CARD NO 2
For this card I made a little shaker to go on the front and used a small card from the ephemera pack to go in the shaker. I layered this onto two layers of the beautiful Carta Bella papers
Here are a couple of close ups of the finish embroidery hoop and the goodies that I made to go inside the pockets.
You can see the video of my project HERE.
