Photographs & Brightly Coloured Paper - NSD 2019 - Donna's Domino Book Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!
Ready for another NSD Challenge? Donna shows us that memory keeping doesn't have to be about scrapbooks and photographs as she shares with us her challenge projects all based around her grandmother's and mother's recipes.... this is going to be fun!!

Hi all,
How are we all!!
Do you realise it is now May? WHAT? How? When? No Way!!
Yep it is and as you all know it is NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) which lasts all of May in Aunty Vera Land..  Which means there is going to be tons of stuff happening over on the blog..
All of the Creative Team are going to have lots of challenges and tutorials for you to join in and there are also prizes to be won, so make sure you check in heaps to win..

NSD is about memories and can take any form; for me this month it is about my grandmother and my mum's recipes that I still use and have passed on to my children.. Wonderful Memories...

I am going to be giving away one or two of my creations to someone who creates along side of me in all of my challenges.. That means you need to create my project, take a photo and post in my folder on Aunty Vera's group.. Here

My first Challenge is a Domino Book...

I painted two dominos with gold paint..
Cut a piece of black cardstock to 7 1/2 inches x 1 3/4 inches and score every 3/4 inch.
Cover: 3/4 inch x 1 3/4 inch - cut two..
Pages: 5/8 inch x 1 5/8 inch - cut 18

Ink around the pages with Tea Dye Distress Ink, available Here
I adore this paper..Full of brightness and colour..

Using the stamps from the Sweet Friends stamp and die set, stamp randomly over several pages with VersaMark Ink Here  and sprinkle with the Vintage Pearl embossing powder.. Heat emboss..

Wrap a few pages with the Perfect Combo washi tape..

Adhere ribbon across the dominos as shown..

Attach the pages onto the black cardstock (10 for the front and 8 for the back, leaving the ends free on the back side) and using strong adhesive adhere the ends to the dominos over the ribbons..

Fussy cut images (these are from the 6 inch x 6 inch book of family recipes by Bo Bunny and ink around them using the Tea Dye Distress Ink.. (you can see how tiny these images are by the little pin next to them).

Finished Book which is 1 inch x 1 7/8 inch folded..

'Front'

'Back'

Close up of the pages, Don't you just love that little gingerbread man! ....

Look how wonderful that embossing powder turned out, it could easily be my new favourite..

I love love love this paper by Bo Bunny..

The book folded..

Side view - pages are concertina style..

Back of the book..
